The state that spends the most on housing in the US is Texas, with a median home price of $1,638,976, according to a report released Wednesday by real estate firm Trulia.
Texas, however, is not the only state to have a higher median home cost.
New York, which had a median price of more than $2 million in March, was the next highest-priced state with a home price price of just over $3.3 million.
But the median home prices for California, Florida, Georgia and the District of Columbia are among the highest.
